19th – 21st April 2017 in University of Munster (Germany) the working meeting of partners, devoted to the development of master’s program in «Information systems» (IS), improvement of the education quality and the new techniques in teaching and learning was held.
The meeting of partners of leading European universities, members of research network ERCIS, Ukrainian partners (Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics – national coordinator, National Polytechnic University «KPI», Lviv Polytechnic National University, Vinnitsa National Polytechnic University, Kherson State University) and partners from Montenegro participated within the international project ERASMUS + MASTIS «Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems».
The first part of the meeting was devoted to discussion of competence profile of Is master degree, specification of peculiar characteristics, focus, orientation on subjects of master curriculum.
The next discussion was devoted to determination of learning outcomes of IS master and 8 compulsory disciplines which will ensure getting leaning outcomes.
Jana Mattern, head of Career Development Center of University of Münster, presented the practical experience of interaction with companies, involvement their representatives to participate in teaching of bachelors and masters of the university.
On the meeting there was presentations and discussions of innovative educational practices from administrative, technological, pedagogical and didactic point of view. Professor University of Münster Jen Lechtenborger described the experience of educational process using JITTeaching methodology and assessment of learning outcomes before the next lecture. The interactive methodology for development of personal competences was introduced by Muhhammed Geuad (University of Münster) and Tero Paivarinta (Lulea Technical University). Testing system Letsfeedback for instant evaluation of students’ understanding of the lecture material was tested.
Karsten Kraume (the head of international company Arvato Bertelsmann) described the ten years of cooperation with the Department of Information Systems of University of Munster and work in joint projects with students and teachers to implement the company’s needs.
During the project meeting the inter-project workshop in exchange of experience of curricula development with ERASMUS + BPM_Online project was held. It was presented by Professor Guido Forster, project coordinator from the University of Liechtenstein.
At the meeting of Steering Committee of the MASTIS project it was decided to organize an extraordinary meeting in Kiev at the end of June 2017, involving the members of teaching commission in Information Systems and Technologies, representatives of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, IT companies, National Erasmus + Office, European partners to discuss the project’s progress in formation of requirements to description of competencies and master in Information Systems curriculum.
