Vinnitsia National Technical University (VNTU) consistently fulfills its partnership commitments in the course of the project MASTIS (Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems) by the European program ERASMUS +.
April 27th Scientific Council of VNTU considered the establishing of training the Masters of Information Systems by experimental program in accordance with requirements of the project MASTIS.
The report of the task and project progress made MASTIS Project Coordinator of VNTU, dean of Computer Systems and Automation Faculty, prof. O. V. Bisikalo. The speaker told about the logic and the actual results of the project objectives, focusing on the decision taken at the last working meeting of MASTIS partners in University of Muenster (Muenster, Germany). In particular, on this meeting the list of compulsory subjects was defined, which should provide internationally recognized competence of Masters in Information Systems.
However, the complexity of creating a new educational program consists in the differences of conceptual vision of information systems, which, according to recommendations of project MASTIS, are more related to the sphere of management, although appropriate standards of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine mostly have technical guidance. Therefore, experts of CSA faculty have developed a curriculum that combines the necessary competence of Masters in Information Systems with current regulations of the educational process of VNTU. New curriculum and relevant educational program within the specialty 151 – Automation and computer integrated technologies are proposed to adopt on 2017-2018 academic year as an experiment.
As a result of discussions, in which particularly rector of VNTU, prof. V.V. Grabko took part, Academic Council of VNTU made such decision:
- Take note of the progress of the project MASTIS (Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems).
- Start on 1 September 2017 by training of masters specialization “Information systems and Internet of Things” within specialty license 151 – Automation and computer integrated technology.
- To adopt the experimental curriculum and educational program according to the recommendations of MASTIS.
So the way to get the master training in information systems by European standards in Vinnytsia National Technical University is open!
