According to the tasks of the MASTIS (ESTABLISHING MODERN MASTER-LEVEL STUDIES IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS) project the discussion of the competencies that students should form as a result of studying the course “IS Development and Deployment” in the context of piloting this course was held. The course was piloted during the autumn semester of 2017-2018 academic year at the Igor Sikorsky KPI for 25 Masters students of groups IS71MN and IS72MP. Students are shown the document “MSIS 2016. Global Competency Model for Graduate Degree Programs in Information Systems” from December 5, 2016.

The lecturer Tetyana Kovaliuk conducted the questionnaire survey of students in order to determine the conformity of the level of formation of their competencies to the requirements of the European ICT competence framework. The results of the questionnaire showed that the students of 1-st year Master’s program correspond to the level of the junior developer.
