October 3, 2016 to October 7, 2016 in the city. Kaunas (Lithuania) held a meeting of the project MASTIS «Creating a modern master program in information systems” in the framework of the European project ERASMUS +.
Representatives of six Ukrainian universities (Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kherson State University, National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’) and the European partners discussed a study that was conducted by project partners to identify future competencies of masters in information systems (IS). Participants in the project organized survey of over 40 companies in Ukraine on forming the profile of IS master. The approaches of experts from the AFM (Professional Association in information systems) to develop educational programs MSIS2016 (Master of Science in IS) were discussed during the meeting.
Several working sessions were dedicated to approaches of teaching, which requires current state of the digital learning environment. An unique experience Kaunas University of Technology on the introduction of distance learning technologies and pedagogical aspects of e-Learning was presented. It was decided to establish a separate study focused on how approaches to learning affect the level of competencies graduates of educational programs, including master’s degrees in the field of IP.
Within the framework of inter-project cooperation was presented the experience of the project TEMPUS SUCSID ( «Creating a network of inter-university Start-Up Centres to support and promote students ‘innovation’) on the subjects of entrepreneurship, project management, leadership. Developed educational materials will be used in educational content for Master IS.
Representatives of Kaunas University of Technology organized a meeting in the university FABLAB, which opened in September 2016.
Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics and the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” are partners in the project ERASMUS + FABLAB ( «Creation of network and infrastructure support youth innovation business platform fablab”), aimed the development of creative industries in the region, cooperation of universities with representatives local and regional authorities and business, strengthening entrepreneurship. It was agreed that cooperation, exchange of experience, promote Fablab of Ukrainian Universities in the worldwide network FABLAB.
