The successful start of the project «Establishing modern master-level studies in information systems» (MASTIS)

From 9 to 11 February, 2016 the kick off meeting of the MASTIS team participants took place at the University of Lyon 2, France.

The main objective of the project is to improve Master Programme in Information Systems (MPIS) according to the needs of the modern society; to bring the universities closer to changes in global labour market and world education sphere; to enable them to stay responsive to employers’ needs; to give students an idea of various job profiles in the IS domain; to ensure employability throughout graduates’ professional and soft skills.

The three-year project «Establishing Modern Master-level Studies in Information Systems» (MASTIS) is funded by the European Union within the program ERASMUS +. The authors of the project are professors of S. Kuznets KhNUE (Ukraine) and the University of Lyon-2 (France).

The meeting was attended by representatives of universities participating in the project from Ukraine, France, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Montenegro and representatives of the Association of Francophone Universities. Ukraine was represented by six universities: S. Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (KhNUE) – National Coordinator, National Polytechnic University (KhPI), Lviv National Polytechnic University (LNPU), Vinnitsa National Polytechnic University (VNPU), National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI), Kherson State University (KSU), with the active participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

During the meeting presentations were given by all members of the consortium, defined roles and responsibilities for work packages. The main task within operational and financial management was  discussed by all participants of the MASTIS team. The plan of the project implementation was considered also.
